Adaptive Music Training

The Wizdom Academy is proud to have been associated with the Thames Valley Children's Centre (TVCC) and John Bellone's Music to provide Adaptive Music Training.

This is a course designed to teach children and adults with physical disabilities to play music.  The course is every bit as challenging as our normal music program but is sensitive to the needs of the students we work with.  This training is fairly new to Canada and is still very much experimental in nature. By using technology in the form of synthesizers triggered by switches, we are able to bring the joy of music to all.

Train Wreck is a rock group composed of students from the Thames Valley Children's Centre. The group performs contemporary songs including: Boulevard of Broken Dreams (Green Day), Wonderwall (Oasis), The World I Know (Collective Soul), Danni California (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Today (Smashing Pumpkins), Sweet Home Alabama (Lynard Skynard), Symphony of Destruction (Megadeath) and Typical (Mutemath). Over the past few years Train Wreck has performed at numerous venues including the annual Kiwanis Festival to rave reviews. The group enjoys performing live and is open for any event where it can entertain.

For more information you can contact us at the Wizdom Academy at 226-777-4565 or the TVCC.

Since 2005 Trainwreck has performed almost 100 performances ranging from crowd sizes of 50 up to 800. In this time they have increased from 4 members to 6 and continue to add new music to their repetoire.
